Donald Spray was in the 3rd platoon in 1969

 

Donald Eugene Spray, 48, of Walnut Cove, N.C., formerly of Sioux City, died Dec. 10, 1996.

Burial of the cremains will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, with the Rev. John Hantla officiating. There will be graveside military rites conducted by the American Legion Monahan Post 64.

Mr. Spray was born May 11, 1948, in Sioux City, the son of Howard and Doloris (Girard) Spray.

He was employed as a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his parents of Lake Andes, S.D.; a sister and her husband, Geri and Greg Case of Sioux City; a brother, Howard Spray Jr. of Hot Springs, S.D.; and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, John W. Spray Sr.
