CSM Carroll A. "Al" Church,
74, passed away on 21 April 2002, in Colorado Springs.
He was born on 23 Oct 1927 in Haverhill, Massachusetts to Frederick K. and Bertha M. Church, who are now deceased.
CSM Church was enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Armor, Air and Ground Cavalry, Infantry and Headquarter units. He served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 in Air Cavalry, 1st Squadron and then from 1969 to 1970 in Ground Cavalry. He was also stationed in Europe and Korea. CSM Church retired after twenty-nine years of military service. He was awarded numerous decorations: Combat Infantry Badge, Air Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Meritorious Achievement and awards for heroism.
After retirement from the Army, CSM Church worked of Digital Equipment Corp. where he retired after sixteen years of service.
