Michael Earl Moon was killed in a one-car accident in at Ft. Hood (Coryell County) Texas on February 20, 1977.
He was born May 2, 1951, and married Margaret Aguirre in May 1971 in Dalhart, TX.
Survivors included his wife, and son, Michael E., who has followed in his father's footsteps, and is a soldier in the U.S. Army, currently serving in Iraq. (2003)
I served with Michael, he was my track commander. Moon was really a great guy, very practical and focused. Always did his job well and looked out for the whole troop. As you can see in the photos he had a big heart.
